Sounders FC Takes on New York City FC at Red Bull Arena in the Second Leg of the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Semifinals
April 12, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - After a 3-1 win against New York City FC in the first leg of the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Semifinals last week at Lumen Field, Seattle Sounders FC travels to Harrison, New Jersey for the second leg on Wednesday, April 13 at Red Bull Arena (6:00 p.m. PT / FS1, TUDN, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
The Rave Green are looking to make history, as no MLS team has ever won a Concacaf Champions League title. This marks the seventh appearance for Seattle in the tournament, which crowns the best team from North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Sounders FC has advanced to at least the Quarterfinals in four of its previous six appearances, including a run to the Semifinals in 2012-2013. Should the club advance, it would be just the fifth MLS side to reach a SCCL Final.
Following Wednesday's contest, the Rave Green return home for a weekend matchup against Inter Miami CF on Saturday, April 16 at Lumen Field (7:00 pm. PT / FS1, FOX Deportes, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
