
Sounders FC Signs Barrett

RENTON, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC has signed forward Chad Barrett, the club announced today. Per Major League Soccer and club policy, terms were not disclosed.
Barrett, 28, was selected with the 13th overall pick in Stage Two of the Re-Entry Process from New England on December 18, 2013. A nine-year MLS veteran, he scored two goals with two assists in 19 appearances with the Revolution in 2013.
Barrett began his professional career with the Chicago Fire in 2005, and joined Toronto FC in 2008. He spent two seasons with the LA Galaxy (2011-12) before New England selected him in the 2012 Re-Entry Process. Overall, he has scored 44 goals with 29 assists in 211 career appearances. Barrett has one cap for the U.S. National Team and also participated for the United States at the youth level.
