Sounders FC Receives $50,000 in General Allocation Money from Charlotte FC in Exchange for Priority to Chris Hegardt

SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC today announced that it has traded the MLS Homegrown priority for Chris Hegardt to Charlotte FC in exchange for $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM), as well as an additional $50,000 GAM if certain performance-based incentives are met. The 2022 expansion side signed Hegardt to a contract today following two seasons at Georgetown University. Hegardt won the 2019 Generation Adidas Cup with Sounders FC Academy and made 17 USL Championship appearances for Tacoma Defiance.

TRANSACTION: Sounders FC trades MLS Homegrown priority for Chris Hegardt to Charlotte FC in exchange for $50,000 GAM, as well as an additional $50,000 GAM if certain performance-based incentives are met.
