Sounders FC Preseason Update from Camp in Marbella, Spain

MARBELLA, SPAIN - With Sounders FC's 2023 preseason continuing this week from Marbella, Spain, the club prepares for its first two preseason matches on Saturday, January 28, against Wolfsberger AC of Austria (4:30 a.m. PT) and Hammarby IF of Sweden (7:00 a.m. PT). The matches are being played in Marbella, where the Rave Green are holding camp until departing for Tangier, Morocco on Thursday, February 2 for the FIFA Club World Cup. After the Club World Cup, the Rave Green also have a preseason friendly scheduled for Saturday, February 18 against USL Championship side Louisville City FC in Seattle.

SOUNDERS FC 2023 PRESEASON MATCH SCHEDULE

January 28 (4:30 a.m. PT): Wolfsberger AC (Marbella)

January 28 (7:00 a.m. PT): Hammarby IF (Marbella)

February 18 (10:00 a.m. PT): Louisville City FC (Seattle)

Sounders FC's roster currently sits at 27 players, including four goalkeepers, six defenders, 13 midfielders and four forwards. The club currently has three Designated Players, two International Players and nine Homegrown Players.

In addition to those currently signed to First Team contracts, Brian Schmetzer's preseason roster includes a number of Tacoma Defiance players.
