Sounders FC Hosts the LA Galaxy Tonight at Lumen Field

SEATTLE, WASH. - Following a 0-0 draw at Nashville SC on September 30 that ended a three-match road stretch, Sounders FC hosts the LA Galaxy on Wednesday, October 4 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM).

Seattle currently sits in third place in the Western Conference with 46 points, tied on points with Real Salt Lake but trailing via the total wins tiebreaker. The Rave Green can clinch a spot in the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs with a win on Wednesday. The club can also secure a berth via a Minnesota loss or draw against LAFC, or an FC Dallas loss or draw against the Colorado Rapids.

Sounders FC is 13-10-13 against the Galaxy in MLS regular-season play, currently riding a 10-match unbeaten run (6-0-4) dating back to the 2019 season. The two sides have met twice this year in all competitions, a 2-1 Seattle regular-season win on April 1 before a 3-1 Galaxy win in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 on May 10. Both games were played at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Following Wednesday's match, Seattle stays at home to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday, October 7 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, SiriusXM FC, El Rey 1360 AM).
