Seattle Sounders FC News Release

SEATTLE, WASH. - Following a 3-0 loss at the hands of LAFC down in Southern California last Tuesday, Seattle Sounders FC (17-8-7, 58 points) heads back to the Pacific Northwest for its final home match of the regular season against the LA Galaxy (13-12-7, 46 points) on Monday, November 1 (7:00 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, TUDN, Prime Video, iHeart.com, El Rey 1360 AM).

The LA Galaxy has quite the rivalry with Sounders FC. The two teams have met 32 times in the regular season since 2009, with Seattle holding a slight 11-10-11 edge. The Rave Green also hold a 47-42 goal advantage against the Galaxy.

The two clubs have faced off two other times this season, both wins for Seattle. The Rave Green took down LA 3-0 at Lumen Field on May 2 and 2-1 in Southern California on June 19.

Seattle is looking to end a four-match winless skid and fight for first place in the Western Conference, where it is currently even on points (58) with Sporting Kansas City for the top spot with two games left in the regular season. The Galaxy is still trying to claim their spot in the 2021 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.

Of note, Seattle is unbeaten in its last seven matches (4-0-3) against LA, outscoring the side 15-8 during that span. The Galaxy has the upper hand against Seattle in the all-time postseason series at 4-3-0.

Following Seattle's match against the LA Galaxy, the team heads north of the border for a Decision Day matchup against Vancouver Whitecaps FC (3:00 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, Prime Video, KJR 950 AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
