Sounders FC Announces First Kick and Match Day Activities

Seattle Sounders FC News Release


RENTON, Wash. - Due to construction on First Avenue South between South King and South Royal Brougham streets, Sounders FC fans are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early for the Sounders FC vs. LA Galaxy match on Tuesday, March 15. The Qwest Field gates open at 5 p.m. for 6:30 p.m. kickoff.

Monday, March 14

3-6 p.m. 30' x 100' Sounders FC scarf flies over downtown Seattle.

Tuesday, March 15

3-6 p.m. 30' x 100' Sounders FC scarf flies over downtown Seattle.

4:45 p.m. First 500 ticketed fans will receive complimentary hot dogs in Occidental Park.

5:00 p.m. Qwest Field ticket gates open.

The first 15,000 fans will receive a free Kinect(TM) wristband courtesy of Xbox 360 ©.

Soccer Celebration activities are located at the Northwest Gate; continue inside the stadium at the North Plaza and throughout the Qwest Field Plaza. Activities include inflatable games, face painting, sign making, hair painting, music and more. Soccer Celebration activities conclude at First Kick.

Volunteers from the Japanese American community and American Red Cross will be collecting donations for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami at various gates, along Occidental Avenue and throughout the stadium.

5:30 p.m. "March to the Match" departs from Occidental Park in Pioneer Square.

6:30 p.m. Kickoff

Sounders FC fans will continue to win prizes based on team performance, including:

- A free haircut at Great Clips each time the team scores three (3) or more goals.

- Two free tacos at participating Jack in the Box locations with a Sounders FC shutout or clean sheet.

- A $20 gift card to Museum Quality Framing if a visiting team player receives a "red card" during a match. In addition, the first 300 fans that visit a Museum Quality Framing retail location will win a signed limited edition Museum Quality Framing Seattle Sounders FC player card.
