Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release
CARSON, Calif. (Monday, March 14, 2011) - Chivas USA announced today that it will once again present fans with one of the most comprehensive broadcast packages in Major League Soccer, with matches available on either local or national television, and every game available on the radio. Local broadcasts will air in English on PRIME TICKET (17 games) and FOX Sports West (5 games), as well as KDOC (5 games), and Spanish language radio broadcasts will continue with every match on W Radio 690 AM. National television partners include ESPN2/ESPN Deportes, Fox Soccer Channel, and TeleFutura. Local Spanish television broadcasts are still being finalized and information will be released soon.
The Red-and-White will return to the PRIME TICKET/FS West family of networks for the seventh season, and will continue with Christian Miles serving as the team's play-by-play announcer and Allen Hopkins in his second year as the color commentator. Once again, each of the 22 games on the regional sports networks - 17 on PRIME TICKET and five on FS West - will be available in high definition.
Chivas USA will also have English-language telecasts available over-the-air for the second straight season, on KDOC-TV in Southern California. Five matches will air on KDOC and will feature the same broadcasting team as the matches on PRIME TICKET and FS West.
For Spanish language radio broadcasts, veterans Rigo Cervantez and Hiplito Gamboa will continue to cover matches for W Radio 690 AM, entering its fourth year as the official radio partner of Chivas USA. Every 2011 match will be on W Radio and will include 30-minute pregame and postgame shows, giving fans three hours of Chivas USA coverage for every match.
All but one remaining match not available locally will be broadcast nationally on either ESPN2/ESPN Deportes, Fox Soccer Channel, TeleFutura, or Galavision. A full Chivas USA schedule with complete broadcast information is available below.
