
Sound Tigers Sign Jackson to PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Dec. 29, 2012) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced they have signed defenseman Dallas Jackson to a professional tryout contract (PTO).
Jackson, 23, earns his first AHL stint of the 2012-13 season after starting the year with the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators. The 6'2, 188-pound defenseman has recorded 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 31 games to lead all Gladiators defensemen in points and goals.
The Edson, AB native made his AHL debut with the Sound Tigers last season, dressing in three games from Feb. 18-20, but spent the majority of the year with Gwinnett where he totaled 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) in 62 games. Prior to turning pro at the start of the 2010-11 season, Jackson spent three seasons in the Western Hockey League, splitting time between Red Deer, Regina, Prince George and Kelowna.
