
Sound Tigers introduce youth hockey programs

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have introduced several youth hockey programs including, mini-games, pre and post games, program-sales fundraisers and "Sound Tigers Buddies".
Mite and squirt house or travel teams are invited to play mini-games between periods of Sound Tigers home games at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. Participating teams are given 20 complimentary tickets for players and coaches and are asked to sell an additional 80 tickets at the discounted rate of $12 each.
Youth hockey teams, mites through midgets, can play a game in a 90-minute slot at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard prior to or after a Sound Tigers home game and can also tour the Sound Tigers dressing room and have an autograph session with the team. Forty complimentary, premium tickets are included in the package for $495 per team with additional tickets available for $20 per adult and $10 per child 12 and under.
Youth hockey teams are invited to raise money via the sale of Sound Tigers game night programs. Fifty percent of the proceeds of the program sales will be donated to the participating teams.
Youth hockey players can buddy-up with a Sound Tiger and skate out with the team as they are announced prior to the start of a home game at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. The Sound Tigers will then stand on the blue line with their buddies during the playing of the national anthem. All buddies will also be given a tour of the Sound Tigers dressing room. Twenty complimentary, premium tickets are included in the "Sound Tigers Buddies" program for $395 per team with additional tickets available for $20 per adult and $10 per child 12 and under.
