Somerset Patriots News Release
York, Penn. - The Somerset Patriots (31-25) were shut out 4-0 in game one Saturday's doubleheader against the York Revolution (30-28) at PeoplesBank Park.
The Revolution jumped ahead early with a three-run second inning. Nick King's two-run double and Roger Diaz's RBI single highlighted the inning.
York added a fourth run in the fifth inning on a Jose Cuevas RBI single.
Jonathan Sanchez made his Revolution debut and tossed four scoreless innings with six strikeouts. The Patriots only recorded two hits in the contest - both of which were infield singles.
Dominic Severino (4-3) earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief. Rick Teasley (3-3) yielded four runs over six innings to take the loss.
Somerset's magic number to clinch a first half championship stays at four over the New Britain Bees and three over the Long Island Ducks.
