Somerset Clinch First Half Championship

Bridgewater, NJ - The Four-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have clinched the 2009 Freedom Division First Half Championship and playoff berth by defeating the Lancaster Barnstormers on Wednesday night.

The Half Championship was Somerset's league record tenth half title and eighth playoff appearance in the league's 12-year history.

The Patriots have placed 2009 Playoff Tickets on sale with two guaranteed playoff games at TD Bank Ballpark in the Freedom Division Championship Series. Games One and Two will take place at 7:05 pm on Thursday, September 24th and Friday, September 25th.

Ticket prices will remain the same price as the regular season with Premium Field Box Seats at $12.50, Field Box Seats at $10.00, and Upper Box Seats at $9.00. All Season Ticket Holders will be receiving their complimentary tickets to attend all playoff games at TD Bank Ballpark.

Fans that purchase tickets to Game One will receive a complimentary ticket for Game Two of the Freedom Division Series. Fans that purchase both Freedom Division games will receive complimentary tickets to the potential Championship Series Games to be played at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd.
