Solar Bears Agree to Terms with Pair of Rookies

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that the team has agreed to terms with rookie forwards Adam Reid and Torin Snydeman for the 2015-16 season, both of whom were teammates at Northeastern University over the past two seasons.

Reid, 22, put up nine points (4g-5a) and 22 penalty minutes in 34 games during the 2014-15 season, while serving as co-captain.

In 138 career games with Northeastern, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound forward recorded 41 points (22g-19a) and 77 penalty minutes.

In his first two years with the Huskies, Reid, a native of Chino Hills, Calif., was also a teammate of recently-acquired Solar Bears forward Ludwig Karlsson.

Snydeman, 25, put up 16 points (7g-9a) and 32 penalty minutes in 34 games for the Huskies last season.

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound forward suited up for Northeastern in the 2013-14 season after transferring from Sacred Heart University during the 2012-13 campaign. In 137 career NCAA games, the native of Groton, Mass. produced 47 points (19g-28a) and 47 penalty minutes.
