
Assistant Coach Ryan Warsofsky Returns for Third Season with Stingrays

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry, announced today the return of Assistant Coach and Manager of Hockey Operations Ryan Warsofsky for his third season with the organization.
"Ryan has done an exceptional job over the last two years and he continues to grow and take on more responsibility," said Stingrays Head Coach and Director of Hockey Spencer Carbery. Warsofsky helped the Stingrays to a 45-20-1-6 record last season, tying the second highest win count in team history, second highest point total (97) and second highest winning percentage (.674) and guided the team to their fourth Kelly Cup Finals appearance.
"Last year was quite a year and having that feeling and what happened is obviously disappointing, but going that far and being a part of this organization going into my third year has been nothing but great for me," mentioned Warsofsky. A former defenseman, Warsofsky skated one professional season split between the Central Hockey League's (CHL) Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and the Turnhout White Caps in the Netherlands combining for 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 23 games.
In college, he divided four seasons between Sacred Heart University and Curry College adding 47 points (13 goals, 34 assists) in 71 games.
