Las Vegas Lights FC News Release

Las Vegas Lights FC's Tyler Bagley battles Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC's Jay Chapman
(Las Vegas Lights FC)
Lights FC hosted the first of two games that are part of "Soccer in Summerlin" by facing the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
A fantastic individual play from Jonas Fjeldbert who took the ball from his own field all the way into the penalty box while getting past four Lights' players to set up Jairo Henriquez who opened the score for Colorado Springs in the 41st minute to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
Las Vegas leveled the game early in the second half after a long pass from Luke Stauffer was whiffed by defender Matthew Mahoney and it landed on Tyler Bagley's lap inside the box for him to capitalize in the 48th minute.
The Switchbacks didn't take long to retake control of this game, with Drew Skundrich serving a fantastic pass to Maalique Foster to get ahead on the scoreboard in the 58th minute.
That lead was extended to 3-1 in the 62nd minute off of a penalty kick from Romario Williams on a play that was called a foul on Jacob Bushue after a corner kick.
Lights FC got one back in the 78th minute after a fantastic play from Luke Stauffer in the box, who spinned his way off of defender Delentz Fertil Pierre to then bury the ball in the back of the net. But it wasn't enough as the visiting Colorado Switchbacks won 3-2.
NEXT GAME:
Lights FC concludes their 2023 USL Championship season by taking on San Diego Loyal SC at The Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin.
