Oakland's Winless Streak Reaches Eight Following Loss in San Diego

Oakland got out in front first when a Baboucarr Njie throw-in found Bryan Tamacas, who scored his first goal of the season, giving Oakland a 1-0 lead.

However, within moments, San Diego Loyal responded in rapid succession to take the lead by the 20th minute. Joe Corona struck in the 17th minute, followed by Ronaldo Damus in the 19th, flipping the game on its head as it became 2-1 in favor of the Loyal.

Then it was Damus again in the 25th minute as the Oakland defense could not recover following the first two goals, and the home side extended their lead to 3-1.

Adrian Perez walked through Oakland's defense untouched just before the half, and San Diego Loyal made it a dominant 4-1 going into the half.

San Diego comfortably controlled the game following the 4-1 lead for most of the second half until Emrah Klimenta scrambled home a goal for Oakland, pulling one back to make it 4-2.

Oakland will finish up the regular season at home next Saturday, October 14th, against El Paso Locomotive at Cal State University, East Bay.
