
Snider Honoured for Second Consecutive Week

Calgary, AB - The National Lacrosse League announced today that Geoff Snider of the Calgary Roughnecks has been named the Transition Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2013 NLL season.
Snider, who earned Player of the Week honours in Week 4, had an impressive performance in the first match-up of the four-game Homes by Avi Battle of Alberta series on Saturday, February 2. The Calgary, Alberta product tallied three goals and collected a game-leading 22 loose balls while winning 27-of-36 (75 per cent) face-offs in Calgary's 18-15 road victory over the Edmonton Rush. Snider now leads the league in loose balls at 78 and is second in face-off wins (111) through five games played.
The Homes by Avi Battle of Alberta series continues Saturday, February 9 when the West Division-leading Roughnecks (3-2) host the Rush (1-3) at the Scotiabank Saddledome (7 p.m., Sportsnet ONE).
