
Grant Jr., Snider, Vinc & Jackson Honored

The National Lacrosse League has announced Player of the Week awards for Week #5 of the 2013 NLL regular season which featured four Saturday night games on the schedule.
Colorado Mammoth forward John Grant, Jr., Calgary Roughnecks transition player Geoff Snider, and Rochester Knighthawks goaltender Matt Vinc each won the award at their respective positions for the second time this season, while Snider has now won in consecutive weeks. Minnesota Swarm rookie Shayne Jackson won to mark the second-straight week that a Swarm rookie has taken home the award.
Offensive Player of the Week
John Grant, Jr., Colorado Mammoth (5G, 6A, 2 LB): Grant, Jr. recorded 11 points (5+6) and two loose balls in Colorado's 15-9 win vs. Minnesota on Saturday.
Transition Player of the Week
Geoff Snider, Calgary Roughnecks (3G, 22 LB): Snider recorded three goals, 22 loose balls and went 27-for-36 (75%) on faceoffs in Calgary's 18-15 win at Edmonton on Saturday.
Defensive Player of the Week
Matt Vinc, Rochester Knighthawks (1W, 6.00 GAA, .875 SV%): Vinc recorded 42 saves on 48 shots in Rochester's 7-6 win vs. Washington on Saturday.
Rookie of the Week
Shayne Jackson, Minnesota Swarm (1G, 4A, 3 LB): Jackson recorded five points (1+4) and three loose balls in Minnesota's 15-9 loss to Colorado on Saturday.
The NLL Player Awards are determined by a weekly vote of the league's general managers and head coaches.
