The Flyers jumped all over the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning with a Mark Okano walk, Jeff Van Houten single, Patrick Breen run batted in base hit, and Jeff LaRue three run long ball for the 4-0 advantage.

Orange County put up another huge inning in the bottom of the second with seven more runs for a 11-0 lead. Van Houten followed with a RBI single, Jermy Acey plated a run with a double, Breen walked, LaRue doubled in another, Josh Arhart cashed a run with a sacrifice fly, and Keesee capped off the inning with a RBI base hit.

Acey hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the third to put the Flyers up 12-0.

In the top of the sixth inning Felix Jose hit his 15th homerun of the season and following a Carlos Duncan single, Jorge Mejia gave the Snakes a second run with a RBI double for the 12-2 score.

Calgary made the game interesting in the top of the eighth as Colin Moro walked, Kevin Price singled, Jose brought home a run with a base hit, and Duncan smashed a three run shot for his seventh homerun of the season. One more run was scored for the 12-7 game with a Mejia double and Jorge Tang RBI single to cap the five run frame.

The win went to Matt Durkin (1-2) while Dallas Mahan (4-3) took the loss and had to leave the game with an injury in the second inning. Dane De La Rosa (13) recorded the save as he came into the game in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded and did not allow a run.
