Columbus Cottonmouths News Release

The Columbus Cottonmouths have signed forward Ken Porter to a three-game tryout. Porter (5-10, 185 lb) currently serves as a captain in the United States Army in the 3rd Brigade, 3rd ID. He has been stationed at Fort Benning since April 2009.

The Albany, NY native is a 2008 graduate from West Point and played three seasons for the Army Black Knights.

The Snakes (7-4-3) host a pair of home games this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 2 and 3. Our first and second sets of player cards will be given away on these nights, respectively, while supplies last. A toy drive will also be held both nights. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to each of our games to donate to a child less fortunate this holiday season. Friday is Georgia Lottery Night with one lucky fan taking home $300 in instant win tickets, and Saturday we will host Happy Hour with $2 Bud Light beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 10 will be our youth jersey giveaway to fans 16 and under, while supplies last (minimum 1000.) A Child Safety Expo will be held on the concourse beginning at 6:30 pm and any teachers showing their ID badge can receive $5 tickets on all non-premium seating.
