Columbus Cottonmouths News Release

The Columbus Cottonmouths have acquired defenseman Joe DeBello in a trade for cash from the Pensacola IceFlyers, and have also signed defenseman Blake Miller to a three-game tryout.

DeBello spent four seasons at Colgate University before signing with the IceFlyers this season. The Illinois native picked up six points and 99 penalty minutes in four seasons at Colgate. In 22 games with the IceFlyers this season, he recorded four assists in 22 games.

Miller hails from Hancock, MI and joins the Snakes after four seasons with the Finlandia University Lions. The 6-foot-4 defenseman recorded 51 points in 94 games with the Lions. This will be his debut in professional hockey.
