
Louisiana IceGators Donate Toys For Multiple U.S. Army Families

Lafayette, LA. January 6, 2010. The Louisiana IceGators were able to give back to their community this holiday season. On November 13, 2009, the IceGators hosted a toy drive for the U.S. Army in honor of Veteran's Day.
The toys were delivered to the children of U.S. Army soldiers during the holiday season. The families were also invited to the IceGators' Christmas night game, where the children got free IceGators jerseys.
One family, the Martin's, was able give give their three girls Ansley, Genevieve and Reagan new toys for Christmas. The girl's mother, Leyna Martin deployed yesterday with the advanced party overseas. Leyna states that she is doing well, and she was happy to give her children the christmas they deserve.
The Louisiana IceGators will be playing away games during the month of January. The IceGators will return home on Friday, February 5th to face-off with the Fayetteville FireAntz at Blackham Coliseum. The game starts at 7:05 p.m.
