Sevierville, Tenn. - John Gall hit a two-run home run off Josh Tillery (0-1) in the bottom of the 13th inning as the Smokies (21-13) completed a 7-run comeback with an 11-9 win over Greenville Friday night. Scott Krause homered with two out in the twelth inning to keep the Smokies alive.

Tennessee's Juan Pena (2-3) allowed the go-ahead run in the 12th but retired the final six batters to earn the win.

Trailing 7-1, Tennessee rallied with a four run seventh, highlighted by Scott Krause's pinch-hit RBI triple and Bucky Jacobsen's RBI double. The Smokies added three runs in the ninth. Chris Weekly singled through the infield to plate two runs and chase Kevin Barry, who didn't record an out in the ninth. Jacobsen singled through the infield to score Weekly with the tying run, but Skip Schumaker was thrown out at the plate to force extra innings.

Rick Ankiel made his first start of the season and lasted two innings. The 23 year-old Ankiel allowed five runs over two innings, with three his, four walks and two strikeouts. Ankiel retired the side in order in the first and struck out the final two batters of the inning. In the second it was a different story, as he walked the first two batters he faced and allowed a single to load the bases. The left-hander threw 49 pitches in his first start of the season, and his ERA rose from 6.75 to 9.56. Ankiel's next start is scheduled for next Thursday at home against Chattanooga in an 11:30 a.m. start.

The Smokies hit the road Saturday for a four game series at Huntsville. Tennessee's Nick Stocks (3-0, 3.00) will opposite Mike Jones (4-1, 3.03).
