Sevierville, Tenn.- Tennessee Smokies players and staff will participate in the 5th Annual Smokies Charity Golf Tournament Thursday, June 26 at Eagle's Landing Golf Course in Sevierville. The event benefits the United Way of Sevier County.
A shotgun start will start the tournament at 2:00 p.m. with a lunch to preceed it.
Media interested in covering the event are welcome to shoot players and coaches at the driving range and on the course from 1:30 on. Please contact Tom Hart at 865-216-1364 with any questions.
The Smokies continue a four game road trip Tuesday night in Greenville. Tennessee is off to a 5-1 start in the second half and sit alone in first place in the Southern League Eastern Division.
In other news, former Smokies pitcher and current Memphis Redbird Danny Haren was named to the Radio Shack All-Star Futures U.S. team. Haren will represent the Cardinals in the game held in conjunction with the Major League All-Star Game at Chicago's U.S. Cellular Field. The Smokies return home Friday night to face the Braves at 7:15. It is the first of a seven game homestand and includes the following promotions:

Saturday- Hat Giveaway, Reggie!
Sunday- Jimmy Buffet Night (post-game concert), Church Bulletin Night, Peter Pan Food City Family Night
Monday- Dollar Hot Dog Night, Dog Days of Summer
