Hartford, March 20, 2007: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager/head coach Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack have released defenseman Kenny Smith from his Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.
Smith has played in four games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering no points or penalty minutes. The 6-2, 210-pound native of Stoneham, MA is in his third season of pro hockey and has suited up for 53 ECHL contests with the Checkers this year, posting eight assists and 79 penalty minutes.
The Wolf Pack return to action on Friday night, for another three-game weekend. They start with a home-ice battle against Worcester on Friday night (7:00 faceoff). The Pack then hit the road again, for games Saturday at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (7:05) and Sunday in Providence (4:05).
