Manitoba Moose News Release
The Manitoba Moose, in conjunction with Power 97, Cancer Care Manitoba, the Canadian Cancer Society, and Children's Wish Foundation are pleased to announce the third annual "Cut for Cancer" event which will take place Saturday, March 24th between 1:00 and 5:00 in the second level atrium of the MTS Centre.
This season, the first 75 people to come down to the MTS Centre between 1:00 and 5:00 and get their head shaved along with Power 97 personalities will receive a pair of free tickets to the AHL game that night between the Manitoba Moose and the Grand Rapids Griffins which gets underway at 7:30 p.m. All people who donate or shave their heads during this promotion will receive a $10 Savings on a ticket to the game between the Moose and Toronto Marlies on April 13th, when someone in the crowd will win a brand new 2007 Toyota vehicle.
Last year we had more than 150 people join us to make a donation and have their head shaved for a cause that has touched almost every family in Manitoba. Over the past two years the "Cut for Cancer" promotion has raised in excess of $70,000 to help fight cancer in Manitoba.
This year all funds will go towards the following projects: Purchase of a vehicle to transport cancer patients for treatment, granting a wish for a child living with Cancer, Pediatric Trials and the Children's Hospital to help with rooms for kids with cancer.
To get any Manitoba Moose Tickets, please contact the Moose Ticket Office at (204) 987-PUCK (7825) or call Ticketmaster at 780-3333 or online at www.moosehockey.com.
