Traverse City, MI - The Joliet Slammers (32-46) lost the Sunday matchup against the Beach Bums 8-4 in Traverse City (45-30) on Sunday.
Joliet fell behind, thanks to a four-run Traverse City 2nd inning and the Beach Bums never looked back. David Kubiak started the game for the Slammers and the five runs that scored against him were all unearned. He gave up 7 hits over 5 innings, striking out four and walking none. Four Joliet errors were costly in the contest. Sam Bumpers picked up three hits for TC, while Jake Rhodes, Jeff DeBlieux and Jay Austin had two hits apiece.
