Skyhawks Walk Over Tornadoes
June 20, 2007 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Sussex Skyhawks News Release
The Skyhawks walked off with a win after Jabe Bergeron drew a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th, to win 6-5. The Skyhawks did not let the unusual 5:30 start time affect their performance, which was a result of rain that soaked Skylands Park last night and forced the game to be suspended until this afternoon. The offensive star of the game was newly acquired outfielder Alex Frazier, who was 3-4, after being acuired via trade from the Jackals only hours before. Skyhawks pitcher Bart Braun Jr. was excellent yet again and held down the Tornado offense, pitching 2 scoreless innings to earn his 3rd victory of the year. Ryan Mitchell took the loss for Worcester, by walking in the winning run.
