
Skyforce's Home Woes Continue As Jam Completes Weekend Sweep

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Jan. 16, 2011) - The Bakersfield Jam defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce 112-94 at the Sioux Falls Arena on Sunday night. Bakersfield controlled the second half for the second straight night to extend Sioux Falls' home losing streak to seven games and overall losing streak to 13 games.
Sioux Falls (2-18) recorded a season-high 33 first-quarter points for the second consecutive game but Bakersfield won the second quarter 32-23 to take a 59-56 lead at halftime. Bakersfield (14-9) was trailing by nine points (52-43) with 3:50 to go in the second quarter before ending the half on a 16-4 run.
Bakersfield would not relinquish the lead in the second half and outscored Sioux Falls 53-38 to win their eighth game in 11 outings.
Johnson scored a team-high 25 points including 9-of-11 shooting from the charity stripe. Marqus Blakely contributed 22 points off the bench and Brandon Wallace had a near triple-double with 16 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists. Drew Naymick added 14 points and a season-high seven blocks.
Anthony Harris continued his strong play with a season-high 30 points on 13-of-25 field goals. Raymond Sykes added 15 points and eight rebounds while David Bailey chipped in with 11 points and six assists in defeat.
Bakersfield visits Fort Wayne on Tuesday night at 4 p.m. PT. Sioux Falls hosts New Mexico in back-to-back contests on Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT.
