
Skyforce Win Sets up Deciding Game 3

Sioux Falls, SD (April 13, 2015) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce withstood a fourth quarter rally from the Canton Charge to win Game 2 of the teams first round series 100-89. The win sets up a series deciding Game 3 tomorrow night at the Sanford Pentagon at 7:00 p.m.
After losing Game 1 by 26 points last Wednesday, the Skyforce started Game 2 with a fury, leading 16-3 midway through the first quarter after a 14-0 run. Sioux Falls would take a 32-10 lead into the second quarter.
The Skyforce lead would continue to grow and Sioux Falls led 55-30 at the completion of the first half. Shawn Jones led a balanced Skyforce attack with 10 points and six rebounds in the first half. Canton was cold from the field the entire half, shooting just 20.9% (9-43) from the field.
With 4:05 remaining in the third quarter, the Skyforce lead would reach 33 points, the largest of the game. From there, the Charge would slowly begin to cut into the deficit and trailed 82-60 at the end of the third quarter.
Canton continued their comeback and cut the Skyforce lead to nine points with 3:58 remaining in the game. The Charge would again be within nine points with 29.0 seconds remaining before the Skyforce ultimately came away with a 100-89 win, tying the first round series between the two teams at one game each.
Shawn Jones recorded his 21st double-double of the season (first of the playoffs) with his game highs of 26 points and 14 rebounds. Scotty Hopson finished with 19 points, five rebounds and five assists. Larry Drew II finished with 10 points and a game high eight assists.
Canton was led by James Singleton's 20 points, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter. Singleton also led the Charge with 13 rebounds. Cavaliers' assignee Joe Harris would only finish with two points and seven rebounds after recording 24 points and 11 rebounds in Game 1.
The series deciding Game 3 will take place tomorrow night at the Sanford Pentagon. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be shown live on ESPNU. The winner of tomorrow's game will face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the Eastern Conference Finals beginning in Fort Wayne on Thursday, April 16.
