Skyforce Drop 113-110 2OT Contest to Cleveland Charge

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce lost a 113-110 decision to the Cleveland Charge in double-overtime on Sunday afternoon at the Sanford Pentagon.

It marked the second game in a row that Sioux Falls (1-5) had six players score in double figures. Brandon Knight (24 points, seven assists and five rebounds) led the Skyforce in scoring for the second time this season. His seven assists gave him a team-high for the fifth time this season, as well.

Cleveland Cavaliers two-way player Tacko Fall (22 points and 17 rebounds) led the way for the Charge (4-4).

Kyle Guy (19 points on 5-12 3PA) started the first quarter with three three-pointers, which helped push a 27-26 lead for Cleveland after the first 12 minutes.

An 18-7 Sioux Falls run to the 4:11 mark of the second quarter helped propel a 50-37 advantage for the Skyforce. Mike Smith (career-high 17 points on 6-13 FGA and nine rebounds) posted 14 in the period alone. However, the Charge answered to Smith and Sioux Falls with an 11-2 run. The Skyforce led 52-50 at halftime.

Sioux Falls answered in the third quarter, behind Martin Krampelj (18 points on 7-10 FGA and 3-5 3PA), and outscored Cleveland by 11 in the period and held an 87-74 lead after three quarters.

Cleveland Cavaliers two-way player RJ Nembhard, Jr. posted eight points in the fourth quarter, which helped the Charge force the game to overtime at 104-104.

The Charge outscored the Skyforce 7-4 in the final overtime period to give the team its second-straight victory.

Miami HEAT two-way player Marcus Garrett posted five points, three rebounds and three assists in 16:57 minutes in the loss.

Sioux Falls finalizes its six-game homestand next weekend, starting on Friday, against Fort Wayne (4-2) at the Pentagon. Tip-off is at 7PM CST. The Charge host the Iowa Wolves on December 6-7 at the Wolstein Center.
