Chicago Sky News Release
CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky re-signed guard Lexie Brown to its roster, the team announced today.
Brown returns to the Sky after a stint with the team during the 2021 WNBA training camp period. She signed a training camp contract with the team on April 19 and was waived just before the season opener on May 13.
The former Duke Blue Devil was originally selected by the Connecticut Sun with the ninth pick of the 2018 WNBA Draft. Following her rookie campaign, Brown spent two seasons with the Minnesota Lynx, playing in 40 games over two seasons. She started in 13 of 17 appearances for Minnesota in 2020, including a career-night against the Indiana Fever on August 7 where she scored 26 points, snatched six rebounds and dished out nine assists.
The Sky hosts the Phoenix Mercury tonight at 7:30p CT from Wintrust Arena as it concludes its five-game homestand. Sky fans can follow the action on ESPN.
