Howell, NJ - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) today officially announced home openers for the upcoming 2020 season. Sky Blue FC will make its 2020 home debut in their inaugural season at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, April 26 when they host Reign FC.
Sky Blue FC announced their move to Red Bull Arena in November after two successful stand-alone matches during the 2019 season. The first match was played on August 18 against Reign FC in front of a club record 9,415 fans and resulted in a 1-1 draw. Sky Blue closed their 2019 home campaign at Red Bull Arena on September 29th in a 1-1 draw against the Orlando Pride in front of 8,314 fans.
The Sky Blue roster features USWNT captain Carli Lloyd, USWNT member Mallory Pugh, Canadian goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan, and several New Jersey natives including Paige Monaghan and Rutgers alums Erica Skroski and Madison Tiernan.
