
Sky Acquire Clements in Trade with Atlanta

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky have acquired the rights to guard Courtney Clements and the Atlanta Dream's 2nd round pick in the 2015 WNBA draft in exchange for veteran forward Swin Cash and the Sky's 3rd round pick in 2015.
The Atlanta Dream signed Clements to a training camp contract on May 1, 2013. In her first WNBA season, Clements played in 26 games for Atlanta. On July 14, in a game against Seattle, the 6'0 guard delivered a career-high 12 points. During the 2013 season, Clements averaged 2.2 points per game and 0.9 rebounds per game. She also appeared in four playoff games for the Dream.
The 2012 Mountain West Player of the Year averaged a team-high 17.9 points per game as a senior at San Diego State University. Clements ended her career ranked fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (37.9) and second in 3-point field goals made (2.3/gm) in Mountain West Conference play. She finished her SDSU career with the fifth most points scored in Aztec history, delivering 1,495 points in just three seasons. Clements started her collegiate career at the University of Arizona where she averaged 10.2 points per game and was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team before transferring schools.
The Sky's home opener against Eastern Conference rival Indiana Fever will take place at the Allstate Arena on Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will broadcast on The U Too.
