For the second time in two weeks, the Macon Mayhem has loaned a player to a team in the ECHL.  Right wing Shawn Skelly is headed to the Fort Wayne Komets.

Skelly has played four games for the Mayhem after being claimed off waivers from the Knoxville Ice Bears. He had a point in each of the four games, scoring three goals and two assists for five points. He is also +2 with the Mayhem. In 10 total games this season in the SPHL, Skelly has five goals and five assists for 10 points. That ties him for fourth place in the SPHL scoring race.

Earlier this month, John Schiavo joined the Missouri Mavericks of the ECHL.

"This shows we're making a mark in the hockey world and teams are taking notice of what we are doing here," Mayhem coach Kevin Kerr said. "It's great we've already been able to advance a couple of guys."

The Mayhem embarks on a five game road trip starting Friday at Peoria. The next home game will be Friday December 11 against the Fayetteville FireAntz at 7:30 p.m. at the Macon Coliseum.

For ticket and other information contact the Mayhem at 478-803-1592 and log on to the team website at www.maconmayhem.com, and also follow the Mayhem on Facebook and Twitter.
