Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release
The Skeeters once again won another tight ball game, 2-1 Thursday night. The Skeeters used great pitching from Jason Lane and timely hitting to take care of the Bridgeport Bluefish. Jason Lane pitched eight innings and allowed only one run. He was backed offensively by Kevin Rios, who had a RBI single in the second inning and Travis Scott, who drove in the second run in the fifth inning on a RBI single. That was all the offense Lane needed, as the Skeeters went on to win by the final score of 2-1. Roberto Giron pitched the ninth inning for his first save of the season.
