
Skeeters Win 7th Straight and Improve to 11-0 at Constellation Field

The Skeeters used a three-run sixth innin, to reel in the Bluefish 4-2 on Tuesday Night and have now won 16 of their last 17 games. With Sugar Land trailing 2-0 in the sixth, Steve Moss doubled to left to drive in Dustin Martin, who had walked. Then after a passed ball, Aaron Bates singled, driving in Steve Moss. They took the lead when Anthony Granato beat out a would-be double play ball with one out in the inning to score Aaron Bates, to make it 3-2. They went on to win 4-2.
Matt Wright was a bulldog, allowing only two runs in the first inning. He went 6.2 innings to record his fourth win of the year. Roy Corcoran came on with two men out in the sixth and induced an inning-ending groundball. Gary Majewski and Jason Bergmann combined for scoreless eighth and ninth innings to end the game.
Up Next: The Skeeters are home again on Wednesday for a 7:05 p.m. game. The Skeeters send out RHP Scott Elarton (2-1, 2.95 ERA) who will be opposed on the mound by Bluefish LHP Hunter Jones (0-2, 9.86 ERA). Wednesday is also George Ranch High School Night and Support the Parent Teacher Organization Night.
