Using a seven run inning the Calgary Vipers (23-16) defeated the Strong Warriors of Maui (14-20) at Iron Maehara Stadium in Maui, Hawaii. Trailing 7-1 the Vipers put up seven runs in the fifth inning to erase the deficit and take the lead. Maui however went back in front in the next inning before Calgary tied the game in the eighth and scored four times in the ninth for victory.
This nine-game in eight-day series in Maui to take on the Strong Warriors continues on Wednesday July 6th at 10:35.
The Vipers will return home to Calgary and Foothills Stadium in Tuesday July 12th at 6:30 to take on the Edmonton Capitals.
The Calgary Vipers will be hosting three Women's Pro Fastpitch games between the USAA Pride and the Tennessee Diamonds August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at 6:30 at Foothills Stadium. Tickets are $16 for the Lower Bowl and $12 for the Upper Bowl. Three game packages are also available for $45 and $33. In addition there will be two skill clinics August 2nd and 4th from 10am - 12pm. Cost is $99 for a Clinic and Lunch or $120 for the Clinic, Lunch and two Lower Bowl tickets. There will also be a Lunch Banquet August 3rd including an autograph session with both teams and a lower bowl ticket to the August 3rd game for $49.95 with keynote speaker Cheri Kempf, the Commissioner of the NPF and an ESPN analyst.
