San Angelo Colts News Release


Harlingen, TX---After losing game one of the series San Angelo played a double dip on Tuesday night. It was Logan Williamson, Chandler Barnard and Sean Kramer who were the shining stars in this one as it was pitching, pitching, pitching for San Angelo. The Colts would sweep a double-header 6-4 and 5-3, as San Angelo puts some more distance between themselves and the WhiteWings and return home 3 ½ games up on their big rival.

In game one, the Colts struck first with two in the first on a Landon Camp (7) two-run homer and it was 2-0 San Angelo. The WhiteWings countered with a run of their own in the bottom of the first to make it 2-1, but the Colts added three in the fourth on a three-run homer by Cory Patton (9) to make it 5-1. San Angelo added a run to make it 6-1 in the fifth and it looked to be headed for an easy game one win. The WhiteWings had other thoughts, as they scored three in the seventh on a Francisco Santana (6) homerun to make it 6-4, but Sean Kramer closed it out in the ninth for the win by the same score. Logan Williamson (6-0) went six and a third and struck out seven in the win.

In game, two San Angelo trailed 3-0 after four, but rallied for the win. In the fifth Landon Camp drove in two with a single and Clay Calfee drove in one and the game was tied at 3-3. Travis Calloway had an RBI double in the sixth to give the Colts their first lead at 4-3. The Colts got some insurance in the seventh on an RBI ground out by Danny Hernandez to give the Colts a 5-3 advantage, which would be the final. Sean Kramer retired the WhiteWings in order to get his second save of the night and Chandler Barnard (6-1) went sixth innings for the win.

Colts are off on Wednesday, but resume action with the first of four against the McAllen Thunder on Thursday. You can catch the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. with the Colts pre-game show beginning at 6:45 p.m. As always Colts baseball can be hear on 101.9 "The Fire".
