
Six RiverHawks Selected To All-Star Team

ROCKFORD, Ill. â Six Rockford RiverHawks players and manager Bob Koopman are headed to the Frontier League All-Star Game to represent the West Division.
Outfielder Rich Austin who is hitting second in the league with an average of .376 and first-baseman Aaron McEachran who is third in the league with a batting average of .373 were selected.
Catcher Kevin Ciarrachi is hitting .255 and was one of two catchers selected.
Justin Dowdy, Frank James and Josh Tomsu will represent the RiverHawks pitching staff. Dowdy has a record of 4-1 with a 2.47 ERA. James is 5-3 with a 2.72 ERA. Tomsu is 4-1 with a 2.17 ERA. The RiverHawks have the lowest team ERA in the Frontier League at 3.06.
Bob Koopmann will manage the West Division since the RiverHawks are in first-place on the July 6th cut off day.
The River City Rascals will host the Frontier League All-Star Game on July 14th in O'Fallon, Mo. Call the Rascals ticket office at (636) 240-2287 for tickets.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 12th season.
