Simpson Stops 40/41 as Petes Down Steelheads 5-1

(Peterborough, ON) On Thursday, December 29th the Petes hosted the Mississauga Steelheads to the PMC for the first time this season. The game would be the first of six games in ten days for the Petes to start off the second half of the season. The Petes took down the Steelheads by a score of 5-1.

J.R. Avon led the way for the Petes with two goals and an assist. Connor Lockhart had a goal and an assist, Tucker Robertson and Jax Dubois had two assists each. Chase Stillman and Jonathan Melee each had a goal and Shawn Spearing added an assist. Michael Simpson starred in net for the Petes, making highlight reel save after highlight reel save. Ultimately, Simpson would stop 40/41 for the win.

Third Period:

Jonathan Melee scores his second of the season assisted by Jax Dubois

The Petes next game is tomorrow night when they travel to Kitchener for the only time this season to take on the Rangers. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30PM. You can catch the game on YourTV Peterborough and Freq 90.5.
