Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, owned by the Calgary Flames and proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have received goaltender Kent Simpson as he has been loaned back to Stockton by the Islanders from the Sound Tigers.

Simpson, 22, has been the main starter for the Thunder since the team traded Shane Owen to the Indy Fuel and has played in a total of 14 games with Stockton. Simpson has a record of 4-9-1 with the Thunder, putting up a save-percentage of 0.905 and a goals-against-average of 3.26.

He returns to the Thunder after what was his third stint in the AHL with the Sound Tigers this season. The Edmonton, Alberta native made his first two appearances with Bridgeport during this last stint, once in relief and one start.
