Silvertips to Host the Great Small Dog Race Series

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips), proud member of the Western Hockey League, announced the Great Small Dog Race Series Presented by Sam's Cats & Dogs is now accepting participant submissions now through December 28 at www.everettsilvertips.com/sams, seeking the fastest pup in Silveritp Country.
The race, scheduled in Everett at Sam's Cats & Dogs, Jan. 21 and in Monroe on Jan. 23, will select three particitpants from the top five voted dog submissions on the Silvertips website on December 29. All fans are encouraged to submit their small dog for entry, and all fans are asked to vote for their favorite submission starting now.
Each dog invited to race at Sam's Cats & Dogs will be provided two free tickets to an upcoming Silvertips game, where the fastest five dogs (of the top three breeds) at the trial races will then compete during the first intermission at three upcoming Silvertips games: Jan. 26, Feb. 9, and Mar. 16.
Dogs eligible for submission must weigh 30 pounds or less.

The Silvertips are currently in the holiday break with the second most points in the WHL, ranked #5 in the CHL Top 10. The Tips return to play Friday, Dec. 28 at Spokane beginning at 7:05 p.m. (KRKO / Tips App / WHL Live) and return home the next evening at 7:05 p.m., hosting the Prince George Cougars in downtown Everett.
