EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) and general manager Garry Davidson announced today that the club has signed prospect defenseman Gianni Fairbrother (JAUGH-knee) to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.

"Gianni has continued to make significant improvements in his all-around development as we're thrilled to officially add him to our program," said Davidson. "As an all-situations defenseman who caught our eye, we're confident about his potential. We are pleased to welcome Gianni to the Silvertips family."

Fairbrother, a 2000-born defenseman, was awarded Top Defenseman this season in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (Elite 15s), racking up 18 points (5g-13a) in 35 games to lead the Burnaby Winter Club in scoring among defensemen and ranking second in club playoff scoring with four assists in four games.
