Connor Dewar's 29th goal of the season, extending his career high, was on a finished centering pass off the rush from Riley Sutter with 7:28 left in regulation for a 3-0 advantage. Spokane responded with one final push to cut the game to a one goal advantage, starting on a late power play.
Ty Smith worked the puck to Jaret-Anderson Dolan, who finished a snap shot through traffic at the left circle with 6:50 left to spoil Dustin Wolf's shutout bid. Kailer Yamamoto then got his stick on a point shot by Filip Kral with 2:53 to play for a 3-2 game.
Buskey was pulled for an extra attacker and Wolf extended the blocker with a big save on Anderson-Dolan from between the circle with 35 seconds left. The Tips cleared the puck down the ice, but Riley Woods raced through the left wing for one last opportunity. Wolf got his stick side on Woods' wrist shot to end the game.
