EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips have officially hired Damon Pugerude as their head equipment manager for the 2022-23 season.
"I'm thrilled to join the Everett Silvertips organization," Pugerude commented. "It's an honor to be here in Everett with such an accomplished staff and passionate fanbase. I'm eagerly looking forward to my first WHL season."
Pugerude comes to the Silvertips by way of the Surrey Eagles in the British Columbia Hockey League, where he served as head trainer and head equipment manager for six seasons. Prior to the Eagles, Pugerude was the head trainer and equipment manager for the BCHL's Alberni Valley Bulldogs, as well as three seasons spent with the AJHL's Drayton Valley Thunder and Sherwood Park Crusaders. He has racked up over 500 games worth of experience at the Junior A level.
Additionally, Pugerude has worked as trainer at the Alberta Cup and as an equipment manager for U-16 Team Alberta. He has lent his services for numerous Hockey Alberta events over the last decade, as well as the 2015 World Junior A Challenge for Team Canada West.
"We're very happy to have Damon on our staff," said Silvertips general manager/head coach Dennis Williams. "He has great experience and valuable attention to detail. We look forward to working with him and welcoming him to Everett."
