Silvertips Acquire Ninth Round Selection in the 2018 WHL Draft from the Seattle Thunderbirds in Exchange for Goaltender Dorrin Luding
EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips) and general manager Garry Davidson announced today the club has acquired a ninth round selection in the 2018 Western Hockey League Draft from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for goaltender Dorrin Luding.
Luding, 18, went 3-6-0-0 in 11 appearances this season with the Silvertips, earning a .891 save percentage, 3.64 goals-against-average, and one shutout. The Prince George, British Columbia native has 13 games of experience in the WHL with the Silvertips and Saskatoon Blades, posting a 3.57 goals-against-average and .893 save percentage.
The Silvertips currently are carrying two goaltenders on the active roster, Carter Hart and Dustin Wolf. Two additional goaltenders (affiliated player category) with playing experience on the Silvertips this season include Blake Lyda and Danton Belluk.
