Silver Sox Fall in Long Beach
June 23, 2007 - Golden Baseball League (GBL)
Reno Silver Sox News Release
RHP Matt Scott came out throwing hard in his Silver Sox debut, but his efforts were not enough to stop the Long Beach Armada from winning game two of the four game set by a final of 4-2.
Scott made his first start as a professional on Friday pitching 4 innings allowing two runs, one of them earned.
CF Victor Hall drove in the only two runs of the game for the Silver Sox in the third inning as he extended his RBI total on the year to seven.
Armada starter RHP Jeremy Zick allowed only the two runs in seven innings pitched to earn his first victory of the season.
The Silver Sox have two more games in Long Beach before making their inaugural visit to St. George to take on the expansion Roadrunners whom they have already swept this season. All home and away games can be heard live on ESPN Radio 630.
The Silver Sox return home in one week to battle the Yuma Scorpions at in Reno. Get your tickets by visiting the Silver Sox ticket booth at Peccole Park prior to the homestand.
