South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
South Bend, IN - In conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the South Bend Silver Hawks have announced that RHP Keny Sosa has been reassigned to Rookie League Missoula and RHP Sean Morgan has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to June 21st with right elbow tendonitis.
Sosa pitched in two games with the Silver Hawks, going 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA. Sosa allowed just four hits over 7.0 innings with South Bend, tallying five strikeouts and one walk.
Morgan has not pitched in a game since June 5th at Dayton. In 11 games (seven starts), Morgan is 2-2 with a 3.63 ERA in 2009. A fourth round selection in 2007 from Tulane University, Morgan has 29 strikeouts in 37.2 innings this season.
The South Bend roster currently stands at 22 active players plus three on the disabled list. The Midwest League limit is 25 active players.
