Bandits Offering Luxury Giveaway

June 24, 2009 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Quad Cities River Bandits News Release

There is no more luxurious of a way to enjoy a night on the town than in one of Modern Woodmen Park's luxury suites. With that in mind, the Quad Cities River Bandits are opening up a contest for one lucky fan to win a package including use of a suite, a food/non-alcoholic drink package and a limousine to take the winning fan's group to and from the ballpark.

"Times are tough right now, but there are a lot of hard-working people in the Quad Cities that deserve to let loose and enjoy a night out," said team owner Dave Heller. "One of our basic philosophies is to treat every guest like kings and queens, and the winner of this contest is definitely going to feel like royalty."

Fans looking to enter the contest will be able to do so by filling out a registration form at Modern Woodmen Park or emailing the River Bandits at Bandit@RiverBandits.com. The first winner will be selected at random to enjoy their luxurious evening with the 7:00 p.m. game against the Lansing Lugnuts on July 8.

There is no more elegant way to entertain clients and make a lasting impression on employees and friends than by treating them to a River Bandits game in a private suite high atop Modern Woodmen Park! Luxury suite outings include 16 tickets and full access to the suite pre-order menu and in-game wait service. Each suite has indoor and outdoor seating, air conditioning, TV, and free local and long-distance calling.

"The suite experience is one of the most exciting that we offer," said Vice President and General Manager Kirk Goodman. "It is one of the nicest in all of Minor League Baseball and thanks to our new concessionaire, Professional Sports Catering, features a premium menu of food and beverage options. The food that Chef Jeff Ryser cooks up is as good as anything you can find in the Quad Cities."

UP NEXT: The River Bandits open the second half of the 2009 season with an eight-game homestand against Kane County and Burlington. It starts with $2 draft beers and fountain Pepsi products on a Thirst-day Thursday, while Chicago Bears Hall of Famer and Super Bowl XX MVP Richard Dent will be on hand Friday to sign autographs before a Fireworks Friday lights up the night sky. Autism Night follows on a Rockin' Saturday, as fans will receive Hillary Clinton bobblehead dolls pre-game, have the opportunity to purchase special-edition game-worn jerseys during an in-game jersey auction, and enjoy a live concert by VodkaSeven post-game. The weekend series concludes with a Pepsi Youth Jersey giveaway on another Tailz ‘Er Waggin' Dog Day of Summer, also a U.S. Bank Family Sunday!

ABOUT THE BANDITS: The Quad Cities River Bandits drew more than 103,000 fans in the first half of the season for only the third time in team history. Ticket sales, concessions, merchandise sales, sponsorships and even Kids' Zone revenues are all up over last season, which was one of the team's best in history! Banditwear, mini-plans, and individual game tickets are on sale for the 2009 season by calling (563) 3-BANDIT or heading to www.RiverBandits.com. But hurry - good seats are going fast!
